Subterranean bar in a modern-looking building so the whiff of damp was unexpected. Cool inside on a balmy evening so that's in its favour. Quite neatly done with some old tin signs, breweriana and neon. Attracting the alt crowd from De Montfort on my visit but their Fb seems to show that it's often more an ethnic venue on a weekend. A disappointment on the drinks front with jsut macro keg brands and a big push on cocktails and shooters – surely there’s room for something a bit left-field here? Guinness (pretty good) was my default, served in a Carling glass. Scope here for better, given the position. 5.5
