Blue Scrumpy left this review about Queen's Head
The Queen's Head is a very nicely appointed pub/restaurant in the small village of Glanwydden. With its multiple areas, bare boards with rugs and lots of pictures on the walls, it very much reminded me of a pub in the Brunning & Price chain. However, I don't believe it is in any way related to that chain.
The overall effect is a comfortable and welcoming environment for drinkers and diners alike. At the bar, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Conwy Clogwyn Gold are the regular cask ales. A guest beer was Purple Moose Dark Side of the Moose. Lilley's Select cider was alson on handpull. Pick of the keg options were Tiny Rebel Rebel IPA & Wild Horse Nokota.
A board behind the bar listed wines of the month and I also spotted a cocktail menu on a shelf. Each table had food condiments on them and menus were scattered around. Bookings were being taken for Valentine's Day with a saxophone duo playing. This seems to be a pub that is trying to appeal to all sorts. It's listed in the current Good Beer Guide and it gets my seal of approval.
