Cask was a single hand pump dispensing Abbot with two hand pumps unused. Keg offering of Guinness, Amstel, Aspall, Level Head, Moretti, Madri, Cruz, Peroni.
One of two pubs within a 5 min walk in the small hamlet of Sewardstone. This one is just in Waltham Abbey postal district but the other one, and next port of call, slips into E4. This one is near a Premier Inn and has ample parking out front and at the right-hand side of the venue. There is some covered, paved seating at the front and then further paved but uncovered seating at the right-hand side, the outside seating providing that typical plasticised wicker effect patio furniture. Inside from the right-hand entrance it is stone tiled with a seating area to the right of the entrance, that area bare boarded with some regular tables and chairs and some taller tables served by a leather banquette along the rear wall. The wooden fronted bar counter is an L shaped affair just inside that entrance with some regular tables and chairs on the opposite side to the longer side of the bar counter with a raised carpeted area along the left-hand wall providing regular tables and chairs and a corner mustard coloured leather booth seat in the window. Beyond the far end of the bar counter from my entrance and by the entrance on the roadside of the venue is a patterned tiled area before the rest of the venue becomes a carpeted or bare boarded affair with many regular tables all laid for diners across several different seating areas. The areas had some feature fireplaces and that type of stable bare beam room dividers. Didn't obviously catch any screens in the venue and the music was quite funky and played at a reasonable volume in what was otherwise a quiet venue on my visit.
