Two hand pumps both providing L Pride. Basic keg offering of Fosters, Thatchers Gold, Aspall, Guinness, Carlsberg, Carling, Level Head, Coors, Staro and Madri.
This is quite a smart Irish sports bar with the copper topped bar counter on the right-hand wall mid venue. Walls are bare red brick, and the bar is quite appealing and has ambiance. The stools were backed along the length and sides of the bar counter, which made ordering and paying over the backs of the fully occupied stools quite tricky. Nice hardwood block flooring. Seating via regular tables on both sides of the entrance with backed chairs and a small banquette in the window either side of the entrance. Some tall tables and tall stools on right hand wall level with the rear of the bar counter with then some leather banquettes on the right-hand wall and regular tables through this space. There are a lot of TV's on the walls here and above the bar servery, tuned into the racing and snooker without commentary the sound instead provided by a middle of the road music choice.

I went in here recently and had a few Pints & found it too be a nice Bar. There are plenty of TVs too watch sport on. Its only one large room but theres lots of seating and alcoves too sit in. They serve a Nice Pint of Guinness as well. Theres also a heated smoking area outside at the front. I Found the staff & other customers very welcoming & polite.
I would say its one of the better Places too have a drink around East Finchley I will visit again when in the area.

I was really impressed with Gertie Brownes, especially as I had been looking forward to going ever since the Gertie Brownes in Hampstead closed and wasn't disappointed. The Lager (Stella) was very well kept and the Irishman that served me was very friendly.
There are loads of plasma screens, even little ones in the booths, which will show any sport. (Premier league darts was on, but muted, whilst I was there). They have Premiership games on a Saturday at 3pm and can show different games at the same time.
There was a random selection of music playing from Irish to modern chart stuff.
The locals seemed friendly enough and I would say that this is one of the best pubs I have been in for a while.
