No cask. Keg offering of Cruz, Moretti, original and dark fruits SB, Amstel, Brixton Reliance pale ale, Peroni, Carlsberg, Fosters, John Smiths and Guinness.
Irish bar by Palmers Green station. Assume this was once part of the Wishing Well chain from some aspects of the venue. Rectangular venue off the front, partially glass fronted, carpeted with bar counter on the left-hand wall towards the rear part of the venue and having a small dark boarded skirt. As usual in these venues, plenty of tall, backed stool seating at the bar counter and all occupied on my mid evening visit. There is a fabric banquette in front of the windows with regular tables and then a series of booth tables each with their own TV down the right-hand wall. There is a dart area towards the back on the left-hand wall beyond the bar counter and the area, as with every other part of this venue, has plenty of TV's tuned into a variety of sporting channels, mostly a rerun of the weekend golf and footy action but also, not surprisingly, showing the evening horse racing action. The walls between the TV's have a shed load of Irish sporting and geography signs and panels of various sorts.

Not too bad for a small shop conversion. Ive been in here a few times whilst waiting for the Bus too Southgate after coming out the station. The Guinness is usually very good and staff seen very friendly.

You couldn't mistake an afternoon in this pub for anything but a Wishing Well as it has plenty of plasma screens all showing horse racing and a few old Irish boys shouting obscenities at the screen whilst waving worthless betting slips in the air.
As is to be expected the barmaid was very friendly, but the crowd seemed more transient and grubby than usual. The usual suspects were all lined up along the bar so I opted for a Guinness which was very nice. Whilst I was waiting for it to settle I spotted a dartboard case on the wall, but it was closed and there was no oche so I am not sure that there is a board in it.
Some old Irish music was playing in the background, but it was fighting with the commentary of the racing which was a little frustrating.
I have been in better Wishing Wells than this one so I doubt that I'd return here.
