Nightjars is a late bar aimed at the younger inhabitants of Bury, although the friendly young lady behind the bar during a recent midweek evening visit was polite enough. There’s a DJ booth in the front left corner before the serving counter that runs up the left-hand wall where it faces high banquettes and tables that run up the right wall opposite. There are a couple of shell booths on the rear wall and some modern R&B played in the background. TNT Sports is advertised, so I suppose that no worthwhile football was being played seeing as I didn’t notice any televisions. On the bar was a premium keg range alongside Neck Oil. Other than the service, I pretty much hated everything about this small bar, but it has been decorated well, and it’s not aimed at me so the owners would probably be chuffed to bits to hear that didn’t like it.
