David Walton left this review about The Fox under the Hill

Visited 23/12/25 (last in London this side of 2026). Visited previously 26/02/24.

Cask here was two handpumps dispensing GK IPA and one dispensing Abbot. Keg amounted to San Miguel, Stella, Fosters, Carlsberg, Guinness, original and dark fruits SB, Madri, Peroni, Moretti, Level Head.

Large U-shaped venue with the bar counter following the internal shape of the venue and providing service on all three of its sides. Black and white tiled skirt around the bar counter with the left-hand side of the venue bare boarded. Some tall tables to the front and immediate vicinity of the bar counter with tall leather backed stools. Over to the left-hand side there are some more tall tables in the front left-hand corner with some booth tables up the initial part of the left-hand edge with more tall tables in front of the entrance to the rear sports type area with a couple of pool tables and a couple of illuminated dart boards. Some booth tables in this area and some tall tables to perch drinks on whilst playing pool or darts. Plenty of Charlton Athletic related memorabilia on the walls. Over to the right-hand side of the venue is a carpeted room with regular tables and chairs laid for diners with a caramel-coloured leather banquette against the rear wall and before that, an entrance to a dining area at the front of the venue looking out onto the main road that was empty on my visit. There are a lot of decent sized TV's on the walls all tuned into sport channels absent sound, that provided in the venue by a R&B soundtrack at a reasonable volume. Plenty of large fruit machines in the venue also. There is a seemingly quite small seating area with picnic benches out the front right-hand edge of the venue and a small car park at the left-hand edge of the venue with a small number of picnic benches by the entrance.
