Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Black Robin
Attractive, twin-bar village pub with a substantial dining room extension at the back. Currently looks sparsely furnished inside due to the coronavirus restrictions, and there is not much to note in the way of decoration within the refurbished, semi-traditional interior apart from the hop bines (which will probably be replaced shortly following the current harvest). Not much luck from the five handpumps, with just two clipped and both almost expired. However, the barmaid managed to squeeze a half of drinkable Otter Bitter (£1.90) from one of them.

In February, 4 days after the new oweners got the keys to the pub, the pub was badly flooded. The cellar was under 7 foot of water, the carpets and furniture were all ruined and the pub was in a bad way.
Seven months later the pub has reopened. Some good news for once.

Pleasant and welcomeing freehouse in the picturesque Elham valley. No. 17 bus (Canterbury /Folkstone) stops outside the door. Also houses the village shop
