Oggwyn Great left this review about Three Horseshoes
Cracking little pub in tiny village just off the A41 north of Newport . You enter the pub thrugh a corridor to the left is a small comfy lounge with leather sofas and an ornate old till , a small dining room is to the back of the lounge , to the right of the corridor is the bar , this is the heart of the pub , various dogs inhabit the furniture and conversation dominates . 5 ales normally on , St Austell Tribute , Salopian Gold and an ever changing range of guests . The food has a good reputation (Kevin the Landlord used to run the Bulls Head at Roddington when it was the best dining pub in the area)
