A good looking white painted pub that face both onto the main road and onto the car park too. There were two pump clips on the group of three hand pumps, Hobgoblin Session IPA and Hobson's Pale, which was not very good, being a little cloudy and having a slight banana-ish flavour. I gave up on my half and tipped the rest of it in the urinal. The were a few lunchtime diners and I would guess that's what keeps them opening at 12 noon - if I'd complained about my dodgy half that would really have made their day.

This is a pretty old timber framed pub but you would be hard pressed to tell theses days , the once multi-roomed interior . bar , lounge , lounge bar , snug all served from a central bar and a seperate dining room in what was once the cottage next door and its traditional dark wood interior is long gone replaced by a single room with an L shaped bar , the dining room is still a seperate area to the right of the main room , its all clean and tidy in here lots of light woods and pastel prints , the usual keg lagers/bitters on tap plus four handpulls , three on the right of the bar and the other on the left , three of the pulls in use two with GK IPA and one with Ruddles County , Harviston Bitter and Twisted was advertised as the guest beer but guess what none on , i had the Ruddles it was OK if a bit cold and at £3 a pint way overpriced for the area , the dining room was pretty busy on my tuesday night visit but only two other people drinking which probally tells you all you need to know , more a resturant than a pub .

This place looks like a pub but it isn't really. Has a sign outside that says bar and restaurant but it's more of a restaurant with a bit of a bar area now. Looks very pleasantly laid out for food with all tables having flowers on them etc. Has two handpumps on the bar which were supposed to be Enville White and GK IPA but of course the Enville was off. I was served with the coldest pint of IPA I've ever had, which removed what little taste it would have had. Guest ales coming soon were Abbot and Old Speckled Hen. Someone needs to get some imagination in here. Food may well be good (I didn't try it) but I wouldn't bother if you just want a drink.
