A nice friendly pub away from the main part of the town. Cask ales available.

Decent pub just on the outskirts of Wellington Centre , there are two rooms , the back room has a nice brick fireplace and a pool table , the main bar runs across the front of the pub , the left side is slightly plusher and has a large tv and some dj/kareoke equipment , the right has a large fireplace decorated with a colage of photographs of the locals and various charity events run by the pub , the pub is an active Help for Heroes fund raiser (£22000 in last couple of years)
Locals are a friendly if a bit sweary bunch , beers were the usual kegs and two handpulls with just a decent Salopian Shropshire Gold on .
Its a pretty good pub

Called in here before the recent match against AFC Telford United. Only one of the two hand pumps was on, selling Salopian Shropshire Gold, which was very nice. There's a good atmosphere, with a friendly welcome form both staff and customers. I was in here quite early when it was quiet, but apparently the police, out in huge numbers, were turning Luton supporters away from the Cock Hotel and sending them to this, the "designated" away supporters pub, so it might have got a little busier later. (I think there were more police than Luton in Wellington for this Tuesday night game.)

Small horseshoe bar with a small lounge to the left of the entrance. Has another room at the back with a pool table. Two handpumps on the bar, one with Timothy Taylors Landlord and one with Old Speckled Hen. The Old Speckled Hen was fine. Busiest pub I went in on the night apart from The Cock. The dog took an instant dislike to me until I bought a bag of pork scratchings and suddenly he's friendly. You little scruffy mercenary. I like pub dogs/cats they add character to a pub. It's alright in here.
