More a local than its sister pub (White Horse) down the road. Not much to write home about inside, though tidy enough. There was a fridge of pub snacks (scotch eggs, sausage rolls) which looked good and there were a few people in as well so a decent atmosphere. Three cask on with a decent selection in Pedi, Charnwood Vixen and Brunswick Usual, the latter of which was on the cusp of turning (NBSS 1.5) unfortunately. Decided that I couldn’t be arsed to quibble as I needed to head off shortly anyway. A shame about the duff pint, as they’ve set themselves up to be worth a visit. Maybe I’ll give them a second chance at some point. 5.5
