Alan Winfield left this review about The Lord Nelson
The Lord nelson is situated in the small village of Sutton on Trent, which is not really next to the River Trent.
Once inside we went into an oblong shaped room which had a beamed ceiling, the bar was on the right side, there was one tall table with posh looking tall chairs near the bar, there was some comfy bench seating to the right, there was background music playing.
There is a seperate lounge to the rear left which was also oblong shaped but not in use on our Saturday afternoon visit.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Mallard Specduckliar which went down well, the other beers were Copthorne Comanche and a beer from Navigation.
This is a pleasant village local.
