Old Boots left this review about Foxtons

A self styled cafe bar, well yes cafe but not café styled, on two levels. Entering from the street on a lower level to a seating area with some tables and chairs, higher to your left is another seating area and ahead some stairs lead up to the long thin bar and give access to the upper seating area. Behind the servery with its railway sleeper construction, is a dining area I didn’t explore. It has two handpumps, a lacklustre blonde from Loch Lomond on one and Landlord on the other which I obviously swerved. Two quad T-Bars with a regular Scottish/UK choice, Stella, Tennants and two latin lagers on one, Guinness, Aspall, Belhaven Best and a Scottish pale ale I didn’t recognise on the other.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about Foxtons

Foxtons has a dining area nearest the door, before splitting into two halves either side of a central bar. I too sat on the right-hand side and don't recall much about the interior.

I do recall that the regular beer here is Timothy Taylor Landlord, whilst the guest ale on my visit was Hadrian Border Strong Suit. I was also impressed to see a real cider on handpull, which was Monkey House Dabinett - a producer I'd never had previously.

Staff were friendly. Customers also seemed fairly chilled out. Families are welcome. I'd happily return.

Upmarket restaurant and wine bar. An odd layout, two tiers split by the long bar. Fairy dull on the right-hand side where I ended-up, with some fake distressed panel wallpaper and harsh lighting alongside fairly feminine muzak. Surprisingly there were two pumps at the bar with one on; Tim Taylor Landlord (NBSS 3) with Rivet Catcher coming on 'tomorrow'. Not going to set anything alight but in a small town this is worth a nose if you want some variety on a crawl. 5.5

Graham Coombs left this review about Foxtons

Restaurant and wine bar in a conversion of a large shop, leaving a room either side of an island bar and a front area in the window. The interior is a strange mixture of styles, ranging from pvc-covered banquettes to industrial chic via a bit of olde English, and is rather dark. There is a pretty garden at the rear. A little surprisingly for this sort of establishment, it boasts 2 handpumps, with Landlord as a regular plus a guest, which on this visit was Blaydon Brick. Sadly the first pint was decidedly off, but pulling some through produced something acceptable if not great. The food by the way was very good, if not cheap.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Foxtons

Two handpumps with a choice of Deuchars and TT Landlord. A quick half of TT Landlord was ok. The pub was busy with diners on our visit, so felt a bit out of place.
