A destination pub which doesn't do food on Sundays, meaning that the beers are more likely to be in good condition than they are at the nearby Banningham Crown. There's a large car park and extensive outdoor seating, and the inside extends through various bits that have been tacked on to the original building, which has in effect been turned around. I counted six hand pumps with five beers being served when I was here, and I really mean served: there seemed to be new people arriving at the bar all the time. My Barsham Oaks, a 3.6% pale session beer from a few miles away near Fakenham, was in very good condition (NBSS 3.5).
