Sham Irish is not my sort of pub - I much preferred it in olden days when it was The Prince Albert. Still known by older locals (including my 90-year old Mum) as "Doc Maynard's" after a former landlord (of 1899!!!). My alcoholic great-grandad actually died propping up the bar in 1937 - now that's dedication!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Finley's

Hmm. Styles itself as "just a good old London pub", but it has the appearance of a rather nondescript Irish bar that could be almost anywhere in the British Isles. No real ale of course, just keg Courage Best and John Smiths, Guinness and lots of dull lagers. Still, the locals look like they enjoy this place (but why?).
