A Cotswold Stone building located on a busy stretch of the A40 between Oxford and Cheltenham, with plenty of exposed stone inside. The wooden bar is located in the central part of the building which is to your left as you enter. There's limited seating to the right on entry, in the area between the entrance and the bar itself, and some bench seating opposite the bar. To the bar's left is a higher-ceilinged room set out for dining, with an extended area which is located via a doorway in the top corner of this room. St Austell Tribute and Wye Valley Butty Bach on pump, the latter a pleasant drop and £1.85 for a half. Friendly landlord and Sunday lunchtime locals sat around the bar sharing a cheese platter. There are nicer Cotswold pubs around, but this ain't too far behind them.
