Housed in an attractive old brick building with added on modern conservatory areas, the Longbridge mill appears to be mainly a restaurant with a bar area and plenty of outside seating for drinks and food in the summer, inside is carpeted and set out with several areas all dedicated to dining.Three handpumps at the bar one unused on my visit, ales on were a rather boring choice of Doom Bar and Wadsworth's 6x,the quality of the latter at £3.55 a pint was particularly poor,I didn't fancy trying the Doom Bar,there was a rubbed out blackboard behind the bar titled Guest Beer,I could just make out the previous resident was,Purity UBU. It may well be a pleasant place for a family meal,I cant comment on that, but its not a place I would consider calling in for a drink again, not my kind of place, my rating as a pub alone would have to be a lowly 3.

The Longbridge Mill is known in Hook and across Hampshire as a good country pub. We are situated on the banks of the river Loddon and the edge of Sherfield on Loddon, a small rural community between Basingstoke and Reading. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a selection of real ales and a wine menu for you to choose from.
