A revisit found four Waddies brews, I tried the 6X and Horizon and both were in very good nick. Discovered the large kids play area and garden to the rear which was well-utilised on a late summer’s afternoon. It’s a good little pub, this.

A Wadworth pub with a multi-roomed interior packing in quite a bit of character (certainly compared with a number of more food-led outlets I’d already sampled that day). Whitewashed walls, low ceilings, black beams (looked original), tasteful prints/pub pics on the walls individually picked out by lamps. Pool and darts available. Three Waddies ales: Henrys IPA (good, if somewhat cold), 6X and Bishops Tipple. Busy, so obviously doing something right. Families welcome (large kids play area advertised to the rear). Not a fan of Waddies beer myself but as a pub I was quite keen. Rated 7
