Strongers . left this review about The Coal Yard
The Coal Yard is set back from the passing street by a large split-level decked area. Inside are some high tables at the front and raised shell booths up the right that are faced by the serving counter up the left. There’s a pool table at the rear and televisions throughout were airing muted horse racing while some background music played. Standard keg was available alongside Birra Moretti and Cruzcampo from the young barmaid who was a bit shifty. There were two small groups of drunk middle aged blokes in attendance, one of whom certainly ended up paying more for his pint than he should have. This is a characterless bar where I wouldn’t leave my coat on the back of the chair if I went to the toilet.

Top drawer dive. No real ale. Was full of fat tattooed arseholes. Has a decking area outside where flea ridden women sent out smoke signals. Apart from that its OK when its shut.

Lots of decking outside for those rare sunny days, but the floor was full of rubbish. Entered the "pub" and it was just one huge room with about 4 people in it. Scabby carpet and cheap fittings. No real ale of course and I couldn't face having a half of Fosters in here, so I left. It's awful.
