Old Boots left this review about Fierce Beer
The Aberdeen based brewery’s Edinburgh tap. A two room set up with the servery in the right side of the left hand room. 19 taps mostly of Fierce beers, one cider and one co-lab all displayed on Untapped screens in each room. The right hand room is all seating at tables and chairs plus banquettes. Mostly high seats in the left hand room with a few low ones tucked away. Fridges of carry out cans and bottles are in the left hand room by the entrance to the basement toilets. I had a choice of over loud music to the left and screechy drunk women to the right, well it’s Rose Street.

Fierce beer tap serving 20 keg lines. Quite a basic bare boarded interior.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Fierce Beer
The Edinburgh tap for the Aberdeen brewery, having converted the former 1780 into something much more modern. No real ale offered, but no complaints about the range of beers - including 12 of their own - plus one cider available from 19 of the 20 taps. These are offered as pints, 2/3rds or 1/3rds, mostly depending on strength, and I went for the Cranachan Killer raspberry pale ale (£4.55 for a schooner) in the end. Various cans are also available from the fridge. NB - Fierce could also be applied to the customer service in here, which certainly could be improved...

2 roomed bar/restaurant serving 2 real ales. Either this or scotts will be your first/last if doing the rose street pub crawl.

Two roomed Bistro rather than pub. No cask beer but Heineken, Fosters super chilled, Murphy’s stout & McEwan 70/- keg. The name, 1780, is apparently when building was completed.
