E TA left this review about Six Bells Inn

A 17th Century house, originally The Church house, in a small village in the Devon countryside, just down from the Blackdown Hills, it's very much a locals' pub and is generally devoid of tourists. There is little by way of parking nearby, and not much of a garden, though they do have a small campsite. Inside, there is a small dining room on the left as you enter and a much larger L-shaped bar on the right. There is a skittle alley at the back which is also used as a function room, and they have 6 bedrooms for B&B guests. The bar and dining room are carpeted, the bar having a brick fireplace with a woodburner. There is a TV screen, which was switched off when we visited. The landlord was very hospitable, entertaining and took time to chat to us and make a fuss of our dogs. Four hand pumps on the bar, one dry, the others dispensing Slack Ma Girdle cider, Dartmoor IPA and Otter Bitter. The keg taps were Guinness, Devon Red, Grand Central IPA, Lucky Buddha, Carling and Murano. Food was a modern pub menu, freshly cooked, and was reasonable value. Sadly the weekday opening hours are somewhat restricted, otherwise I'd come in more often.
