David Ross left this review about White Cart
Situated directly across the road from Busby railway station, this was called the Railway Inn for many years before being converted into an Indian restaurant for a time. Fortunately, it has now reverted to being a pub, although a very different one from its previous incarnation, and is now named after the river which runs through the village. The former traditional style inn has been extended considerably and transformed into a large, irregularly shaped, one room gastro-pub, with an adjoining function suite. I was disappointed to find that the deep well which was once in the middle of the bar floor has now been filled in. There is also an outdoor seating area looking on to the car park, the main road and the East Kilbride to Glasgow railway. The White Cart is fairly typical of its species, being child friendly and mostly food orientated, although there is a good range of beers on offer too. There are three hand pumps, dispensing Old Rosie, Wainwright’s Bitter and the local Kelburn White Cart. Also on tap are San Miguel (at £3.74 a pint), Peroni, Carling lager, Tennent’s lager, Guinness, Caledonia Best and Aspall cider.
