This is a very bland hotel bar that serves some standard and premium keg products. There are lots of televisions and Sky Sports is shown. The service was polite, but I wouldn’t drink here again unless I was staying at the hotel, and even then it would be a quick one after returning from elsewhere. One positive is that there is some outside seating that overlooks the end of a branch of the canal, which might be nice in the daytime.

Hotel bar and as bland as they come. The bar does have 2 handpumps on with Deuchers and a Halloween themed beer called Open Casket by a brewery which I've forgotten.

Typical hotel lounge bar in the foyer. Lots of TV screens which were showing both the Open & the Test Match. 4 handpumps on the bar but only 2 on Robinsons Dizzy Blonde & Caledonian Deuchars IPA. The Dizzy was a decent beer at £3.20 per pint. I went to sit on the outside terrace which overlooks the canal moorings in Castlefield basin which is a decent enough space to sit away from the main road.
