I was going to give this place a try a few years back, but I could see through the window that the pump clips had been turned around, so there was clearly no real ale on. This was a Wednesday evening. My more recent visit was on a Saturday, a match day for Luton Town, and I was hoping for something better. However, of the two hand pumps one was naked while the other had a Landlord clip reversed. I decided to go for a Guinness, which was pretty cold but just about drinkable.
The atmosphere was lively and the service friendly. Most people were watching a choice of Rangers v Celtic or West Ham v Spurs on the two TV screens. This is a nice back street local; pity about the absence of real ale though.
