Has now re-opened as Modello Bar & Kitchen. The refurbishment has been fairly comprehensive with some structural changes to the layout as well. There has clearly been a lot of money spent and the bar now has a nice clean feel about it. A raised section contains a few large booths that are available for hire for larger parties on big nights. There's an exposed kitchen with an open pizza oven. The bar has a number of keg beers including Estrella Damm, a Gaymers Cider, Bombardier and Stella Black.

As if to prove my last review the Chicago Rock Cafe is now closed and undergoing what looks ike a major refurbishment. I think it's still going to be operated by CRC owners Atmosphere Bars & Clubs but will probably be re-opened as the Modello Bar & Kitchen.

Has a rather tired feel to it and seems to be on a downward trend. There’s rarely many people in on the occasions I pop in and I have seen it closed during the day on some weekends. I suspect they rely on the evening trade but with so many lounge/club places springing up nearby I can imagine they are struggling. Needs a bit of a makeover if it’s going to survive.
