Will Larter left this review about Andrew Arms

A modernised Robinsons pub, with new furnishings and floorboards, but retaining two rooms. Although they both looked the same to me, apart from the darts board in the "vault' on the left. There were two hand pumps in the room on the right, but just Unicorn available. This was cool and clear but had a banana-ish flavour. The pub is advertised as an opportunity, and the people that were running it didn't seem totally enthused about being there. To be fair, it was completely dead at 1:30pm on a Friday. I reckon most pubs of this type, in what amounts to a dormitory village, would not bother opening before 4pm.

The Andrew Arms is a stone built Robinsons tied house in the middle of Compstall.
I had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was very nice.

Pub visited 18 April 1989.
