Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Moat
I thought that this was a Hall & Woodhouse pub / restaurant but was surprised to find Larkin's Traditional and Kent Brewery's KGB (£4.50) available from two of the four handpumps and I noticed that the signage has changed as I left. Anyway, the original building has been vastly expanded in a semi-traditional style to offer a wide range of seating / dining areas, both inside and outside on the rear patio area.

Old Blue left this review about Moat
Large Hall & Woodhouse pub just off the M26, and a huge relief after 2 hours stuck in traffic (the toilets got a big thumbs up from the good lady as well). Four hand pumps which on our visit offered Badger First Gold (twice), and a decent pint of Tanglefoot, with the fourth unused. The barmaid was particularly friendly and helpful. There is a large garden at the rear with a patio with heaters, a grassed area with benches, and a children’s playground area with various types of wooden swing and things to climb on. It was quite quiet during our late afternoon forced visit and I have no idea what its usual custom is like, though I noticed quiz night on Thursdays from 9pm advertised. On the way out there is a basket of apples and an invitation to have on ‘on the house’ towards one’s recommended five a day.
I wouldn’t really go out of my way to come here, but it was a decent, welcoming place where I’d be happy to come again if I was passing.
