Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Oliver Cromwell Hotel

At one point, the Oliver Cromwell Hotel was a place to drink real ale in March. Two unused handpulls still sit to the left-hand side of the bar, but these days the selection is limited to keg. Greene King IPA & Guinness seemed to be the best of a bad bunch. The cider was Stowford Press.

These days, it simply feels like a hotel reception area, which essentially is what it is. There are multiple sofas and armchairs with a dining room at the far end. I arrived to find two other elderly customers having a drink and I just managed to beat a couple of other elderly blokes through the door. They were bringing back a take away to eat in the bar area.

Not worth the detour off the High Street these days.
