The White Horse I has been under new management since December 2011. As a resident of the village, I see it as a friendly village pub at the centre of the community with good quality home-cooked food. We go there for lunch often, in preference to the more expensive places in the area.

The White Horse is a quiet 18th Century village pub in a building which was once a butcher's shop (you can still see the butcher's hooks set in the chimney)and stable block, just off the A36 outside Wilton. Only one ale on, Cornish Coaster, which was not well kept. The food was unimaginative and overpriced (and my sandwich was stale), although the reception from the landlord was friendly. Clientele is mostly locals, and the atmosphere is best described as cosy. Worth popping in when passing but I wouldn't spend an evening here, while its location doesn't make it easy to fit in with a crawl.
