A splendid little bar for the narrow gauge railway which is in an actual former signalbox rescued from Scunthorpe steelworks. There are 4 small stools inside, which would fill the place if occupied, but room for 100 or more in the tabled outside area, (which includes a few tables under the station roof if it is raining). It is open when the railway is running, which is roundly between April and October but includes other dates, for example weekends in March, however be aware that cask ales are usually only served during the main daily operation period. Discovering this to my cost, I settled for a pleasant-enough Salt Alpacalypse. A great place though.

‘The Smallest Pub on the Planet’ is a small room (or arguably, I suppose, a large cupboard) in the front of the timber light railway station, and also with a pleasant garden to the front which was quite popular during our visit last weekend. It is open 11am-11pm Tuesday to Sunday, though I understand it closes for the winter months. As you enter the pub, the bar is in front of you and there is a padded bench seat onto which four of us managed to squeeze. It serves ales from three handpulls, changing regularly as the many pump clips adorning the walls and ceiling testified. I had a fine pint of Jennings Joggers Tipple. There were also lagers and Stowford Press cider on tap, a limited spirits selection and other ciders and bottles in the fridge. To capture that fully authentic pub feel, there are also a miniature dartboard, pool table and football table affixed to the ceiling.
I thought this was a great place and would certainly come back if in the area – it’s a bit of a wander from the town centre (or a miniature train ride if you fancy) but well worth it.

Wonderful pub, measuring 5.95 metres.
Situated on the Lincolnshire Light Railway on King' Road. A pub in Colorado is disputing the Signal Box's claim to be the smallest as they say the Signal Box has a beer garden and should be included in the dimensions, but the Guinness Book of Records are likely to rule against the Colorado pub.
If you get 4-5 people inside it would be packed out, when I went in i was the only customer ,so had the place to myself.
I Had a great pint of local brewed Tom Wood's " Blooming Lovely " bitter.
Ever changing selection of Real Ales.
Nice little garden area.
Closes during the winter months.
