Strongers . left this review about Lion & Lamb
The entrance of the Lion & Lamb opens onto a double sided exposed brick chimney breast that splits the long serving counter that runs along the rear wall. In amongst the premium keg there are two hand pumps on each side of the bar that were drawing GK IPA and Yardbird. The split-level left-hand side of the pub was full of diners during a recent early Sunday evening visit, so we decided to sit in the right-hand bar area where an exposed brick inglenook with fireplace on the right-hand wall overlooks a couple of armchairs and sofas that surround a large wooden chest that was being used as a table. The service was polite, but very slow with the young barmaids only able to do a single task at time, including the whole process of pouring a Guinness. There was some low background music and the television in the bar area was showing muted build up to England’s ultimate demise in the Euro2024 football final. This isn’t somewhere I’d go out of my way to revisit again, but it was better waiting here for a family members arrival at Stansted rather than in the airport itself.
