A community owned pub offering food and cask beers. It's quite a large, white painted building, fairly plain and unremarkable inside. The bar has a nice stained and varnished top, with tongue and groove panelling on the front painted pale green. Four hand pumps with three beers on, but soon just two when my first half was clearly off. It was speedily replaced, and the two beers I had were good enough, but the Sycamore Gap from local Twice Brewed was a little dull and the Tyneside Blonde from Hadrian was a bit green and therefore frothy (both deemed NBSS 2.5).

A good traditional pub situated in the middle of the village. This is a large two room pub offering good food, accommodation and good beers. Marstons EPA and Jennings cumberland were excellent. Will call again.
