Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Mill Inn
The Mill Inn enjoys a picturesque location overlooking a river, on the edge of the village of Mungrisdale and in prime walking and cycling territory. Sitting outside can be quite peaceful, with just the sound of the rushing water down below. In fact, on my Wednesday afternoon visit, all customers were sat on outdoor benches except when ordering drinks from the bar.
The pub has 3 sections, with almost all tables made out for diners. However, the only people eating were a dad and his two kids outside. Posters inside advertising an evening of folk music suggests that the pub also tries to welcome drinkers.
Owned by Robinson's, Trooper, Dizzy Blonde & Cumbria Way are the regular ales. A fourth handpull had an Old Tom pumpclip turned around. When I'd enquired about the Old Tom, the landlord said that the brewery wouldn't be brewing another batch until October. Beavertown Neck Oil was one of the keg options, along with Weston's Vintage cider.
