A large detached brick 'Sizzling' chain pub in mock Jacobean style, with yellow and red paintwork and patio
The interior is open plan around a central bar. The interior is in white, green and a French mustardy colour, which now looks a little tired. There was a bar area with darts and pool, as well as having Sky TV, the rest of the pub was given over to the food. We ate here and the food was fine. The service was really friendly, the bloke behind the bar looking like an biker, so you felt a little safer than some of the clientele would make you feel; it being split between happy enough people and those that gloated on past punch-ups.
Beer; all general tap stuff, but the Banks's MILD was fine
Overall, the place looks a little tired on the inside, there is no real ale to attract the beer buffs and i didnt feel it was the friendliest of places, though the staff made you feel comfy.
