The Red Cow is a 16th century coaching inn with an L-shaped bar that faces the main bar area with fireplace to the left and a small seating area down a step to the front right. I counted three handpumps that were drawing Citra Pale Ale, Unicorn and Dizzy Blonde. Available on keg were four offerings from Robinsons as well as Amsel, Birra Moretti, Stowford Press Mixed Berries and Apple Cider and Stowford Press Cider. Food is available, there is a seating area behind the bar that feels more geared towards dining. The burger is priced at £13. This pub is also a B&B with four en-suite rooms upstairs. Out the back is a patio area with seating that leads to a covered seating area complete with television. Beyond is a surprisingly large grass covered ‘secret garden’ with picnic tables.
I thought this was a decent pub that is run by very welcoming tenants. I will visit again when next in the area.

This is an old Robinson's pub handily set across the road from the bus station. It's split over two different buildings with the pub in the right one and presumably the accommodation to the left. Inside what was almost certainly once several rooms is now open plan but divided into areas. It all seem to be plush and Olde Worlde with low beams, carpets and a huge fireplace. The tables had Trooper beer mats on them and I did wonder what some of the more snooty residents of this affluent Cheshire town (some of whom seemed to be present on my visit) would make of the Heavy Metal imagery.
The bar has three hand pumps which had Robinson's Unicorn, Dizzy Blond & Trooper. I went for the Unicorn (£3.70) which struck me as expensive for Robinson's but was in good nick.
This is a nice old pub but I'm not sure that I would return.

This is a lovely pub. Cosy inside and has a large beer garden out back with aviary's and some chickens and rabbits. Serves real ale. Robinsons usually.

This used to be a good pub, but after seeing a few nasty incidents over the past 12 months, I have decided to give this pub a wide berth, A change of owners or staff would make things much better, people with manners for starter...

The Red Cow is a nice looking pub that is very old and it is very close to the bus station.
Once inside here i noticed three different rooms and the room i went in was quite cosy with a real fire on the go,this is a Robinsons tied house and i had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was a very nice drink.
I quite liked this pub and would have happily stayed for longer.
