ROB Camra left this review about The Old Bridge Inn

A totally unspoilt village inn which dates from 1307 when it was originally a house. It's reached by crossing over the 16th century packhorse bridge over the river Ryburn which is part of the Calderdale Way. Three rooms on two different levels all with wooden beams and all served from the central bar. There was a roaring fire going in the grate when we called in last Wednesday after brewing a beer at Oates Brewery in Halifax. There are 6 handpumps which always serve Timothy Taylors beers plus a couple of guests. Oates sell their beer to this pub and the barmaid said that they would take a 9 of our beer as well! It's a great little pub and I'd call in more often if it wasn't so far away from home.

Another must find. So famous it doesn't even have a pub sign! This pub is full of history, situated on the old pack horse route accross the pennines next to the quaint little donkey bridge across the river from the church. The history lives on as the pub has had minimal alteration and so retains it's charm and character. No music, no gimmicks, just excellent drink, food and company. Home to the eccentric 'Pork Pie appreciation Society'.
