This was once a multi-roomed pub but has now been opened up into one room, however it still retains some distinct areas. It’s more of a wine bar now and serves food all day and well into the evening. There’s a large conservatory and an outside canalside patio. Three handpumps on the bar, Banks’s bitter, Pedigree and Jennings Minigem when we called late afternoon on a Friday. I had a pint of the Jennings which was pretty good. The other half tells me that the red wine is OK as well. Tried to call in again on the Saturday evening but it was rammed.

The Kings Head is a decent lookng pub that is on the southern edge of the city centre.
Once inside there were two rooms and i had a drink in the lounge which was fairly comfortable there was also a seperate bar.
The pub was advertising live music but none was on when i went in here in the afternoon.
The pub is a Banks's tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Banks's mild and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Banks's bitter.
This was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
