This is a corner pub. It is a 1030s brick build, surrounded by c1900 housing - indeed, the pub replaced a few houses. It is is a Tudor style, with the only real feature being an oriel window. The interior must have had quite a few rooms, but i only saw the bar. It is Irish themed - with the odd flag (and the lady behind the bar!). It is in black wood, with white and a bit of green. There are green leather perimeter seats. There is a pool table, dart board and a table footy game. The TV had general programmes on and there was no music. The service was friendly and the place fbusy enough with local, but i ended-up having a swift pint chatting to a local about the loss of the local pubs - so i found it quite friendly. Beer; no real ale, no MILD - i just had a shandy. A locals pub, which seemed friendly enought to me, with all the pub games - sadly, just no beer for my personal taste.
