Oggwyn Great left this review about Sandstone
17th century country pub near the popular Sandstone Trail , originally called the Royal Oak and for a brief period the Coppermine.
The main entrance is around the back and leads into a small cosy bar area , with a large old fireplace with a woodburner in situ , various rooms lead off from the main bar with most of them given over to dining .
Four handpulls on the bar with beers from Stonehouse , Wincle , Conwy and the pubs own Sandstone Edge , the Brewery is not on site being situated a few miles down the road in Wrexham , the friendly barman explained the pub usually has one Sandstone beer and the other three are rotated from local Cheshire , Shropshire and North Wales breweries .
I like this pub and will call again when in the area
