Very nicely furnished roadside establishment, in a sort of country house style with lots of dark wood panelling. Interesting collection of photographs and other material cover the walls, including a lot of brewery memorabilia. Good range of beers including house ales. Food not sampled but menu fairly extensive, centred on grills. Ideal for a civilised pint, not a boozy session.

Large black and white half timbered pub just off the A41/A534 junction , the main bar is to the right of the entrance , the restuarant to the left , the pub was once multi-roomed but has now been opened out into one large room but with plenty of nooks and crannies .
Usual keg taps and five handpulls , Bombardier , Montys Sunshine , Weetwood Best Bitter and two of the pubs own Woodward and Falconer branded , Piffle and Balderdash(brewed by Conwy) he Best and Piffle were both decent .
Its OK in here , similar to a Brunning and Price pub .
