A split level dreary bar in Hirst’s Yard, a thoroughfare reached off Call Lane, Briggate and Boar Lane so the very hub of down market night life bars in Leeds. Dark, noisy and with a glitter ball slowly rotating in the front bar. The counter is here and go on have a guess at the beers available on the two horseshoes. Yup latin lager, cider and Guinness, you may have missed the Murphy’s but it’s all Heinekin brand stuff. Split level, the counter is on street level with more seating down a few steps. A semi circular counter here has a similar choice and more seating some in booths. There’s an upstairs area as well.

This bar is what it is, a fun drinking place, and it does not try to be anything else. I like it a lot.

the legendary and historical whip hotel was destroyed to spawn this plastic , rip-off monstrosity...........absolutely nothing to be said for this ''bar''
