Cask here was a single hand pump dispensing Wye Valley Butty Bach with the other two hand pumps non dispensing. Keg was original SB, John Smiths, Cruz, Murphy’s Irish stout, Moretti, Guinness, Carling and Inch’s cider.
Pub of two sides with a large car park out the front. The left-hand side, the lounge bar, is carpeted with the bar counter at the rear on a tile skirt. Regular tables and chairs in the floor space in front thereof. The right-hand side, the public bar, is tiled at the front and bare boarded at the rear with the bar counter on the left-hand wall. Regular tables and chairs plus some tall tables with tall unbacked stools. At the rear on the bare boards is a pool table and a dart board plus a couple of fruit machines. There is some picnic bench seating at the front of the pub. Has a sports bias but generally felt pretty run down.

I stumbled upon another rural pub which opens in the daytime. Unfortunately the kitchen doesn't open on Mondays, but I had a nice pint of Timothy Taylor's and a chat with the landlady about bus services in the area. (Positive feedback for once!) The jukebox was set to really random play (hip-hop followed by Glenn Campbell followed by Black Sabbath.) TV news was on with the sound down. Couple of youngsters playing pool, waiting for uni term to restart. Manager is quite new, so watch this space for future developments.
