Cask here was HPA and Butty Bach from Wye Valley and Jemima’s Pitchfork from Glamorgan Brewing. Keg offering of Guinness, Neck Oil, Inch’s, Cruz, Moretti, Amstel.
Lovely rural venue, extensive seating at the front, mostly picnic benches on a grassy area, some of which are covered. On my visit there was a large marquee out the front, but I suspect that is here for a beer festival this coming weekend. Inside the bar area is to the right of the entrance, regular tables largely serviced by tall, backed church pew style benches. There is a large fire grate to the immediate left of the entrance on this side, and the bar counter is at the rear. Low beams and super atmospheric. To the left of the entrance is a dining area not in play on my late evening visit. The beer range is nothing extraordinary for many places in the Vale of Glamorgan, but the venue is more than that and is well worth heading to for its ambience, which was added to on a late enough visit by the gathering dusk and misty weather.

A proper good old local pub. Lots of real ales changing guest beers and good food.
