Cask offering here was two pumps dispensing Old Speckled Hen and one hand pump dispensing Old Golden Hen. Keg offering of original SB and Thatchers Gold on the cider front plus then Guinness, Coors, Carling, Moretti, Peroni, Stella, San Miguel, John Smiths.

Hungry Horse outlet on the outskirts of Penarth. I entered through the car park side and then the bar counter is on the immediate left-hand wall and having a stone tiled skirt. Otherwise, the venue is carpeted with the area around the bar counter occupied by drinkers, not surprisingly, on my visit in an area littered with regular tables and chairs. There is a TV on a chimney above a fire basket (surely not used) at the end of the bar counter creating a further small drinking area at that end in the large floor to ceiling glass panes that creates a lot of light in certain parts of what otherwise feels like a gloomy venue even on a bright early evening. The seating areas more distant from the bar counter are turned over to diners, of which there were many on my visit, particularly families with young kids that this place seems orientated towards. There is a beer garden with picnic benches on a mixture of paving stones and crudely mown grass that was looking parched.
