Three handpumps. One non-operational, the other two providing Wye Valley Butty Bach and Old Speckled Hen. Keg offering of Guinness, Madri, San Miguel, Neck Oil, BrewDog Hazy Jane, Peroni, original SB, Thatchers Haze and Carling.
Another “village” pub that you wouldn’t end up here walking from the centre of Cardiff! Large car park and some outside seating but on my later evening visit everyone here was inside. As far as I could tell, the main action was the bar area immediately upon you on walking through the entrance. The bar counter is a wooden sleeper-based affair against the rear wall slightly offset to the left from the entrance. The venue is bare boarded throughout apart from, wait for it, a carpet skirt around the bar counter. The left-hand wall houses a fabric banquette with rustic tables in front thereof. The rest of the floor space over to the original stone wall on the right-hand side housed a rather splendid old stone fire place but not ignited on my visit and the area around it provided regular tables and chairs. Ceiling was festooned with warm white fairy lights. There was an area to the left of the bar described as the "Snug" that had regular tables and chairs, and which led into a UPVC conservatory area that was occupied by a few diners on my visit. The outside wasn’t well lit so hard to discern the outside seating potential.
