Traditional pub with some outside picnic style benches albeit on a busy road. Inside a front carpeted area looking out onto the main road. The bar area is bare boards with a chess board style tiled floor along the length of the bar along the right hand wall. Seating here consists of some tall tables including one fitted around some pillars in the mid-point of the pub. Along the back wall are some leather studded banquettes and in the areas to the left and right of the end of the bar there were dartboards. Unusual set up. Regular live music.
Beerwise they had Wye Valley Butty Bach on hand pump and another one from TT that had Marmalade in the name that had just finished so didn't get to see name. BB was really good. Keg choices were Amstel, Carling, Guinness, SB (the & dark fruits), Gamma Ray and Neck Oil, Cruz, Moretti, Inch's, and John Smiths.
Interesting pub that was much better and pleasant than I would have assumed from the outside.
