A proper Berkshire oddity – a pub in a modern converted barn. The interior feels like a bit like a mid-80’s Butlins bar, cheap and cheerful. There’s a very basic laid dining area to the left with darts and pool taking up space direct in the bar area making ordering an issue when in use. Lots of trophies behind the bar, so they at least seem have some prowess! Selection of papers available. One ale pump, Elgoods Cambridge (drank fine) plus a mini keg of West Berks. Also a large range of West Berks bottles and the two new Guinness bottled varieties. Very local/farmery male clientèle but all-in-all, not bad for what it is.
