Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Newborough Arms
Situated just south of Caernarfon in Bontnewydd, the Newborough Arms is a locals' pub/dining establishment with multiple small rooms and a larger room acting as a restaurant. The overall feel is of quite a cosy pub. However, they no longer stock real ale. Keg options were Moretti, Amstel, Fosters, Strongbow, Guinness, John Smith's & Theakston Mild.
Locals in the front bar seemed to start talking Welsh shortly after I arrived, despite being speaking English initially. I've experienced that a few times on the nearby Llyn Peninsula. So, it seems to be a common occurrence in these parts.
