Blue Scrumpy left this review about Gwarcefel Arms
Rural pub on a crossroads which doesn't open until 5pm during the week. I arrived shortly after opening to find a healthy gathering of locals in the fairly basic public bar. A couple were playing on the pool table which can be found to the left of the entrance, whilst others were congregated around the bar. A dartboard, jukebox and fruit machine can also be found on the left-hand side with a TV on the right showing the Chase with nobody really interested. There is a tiled floor and the bar itself has a wooden canopy with a red dragon on top.
Wood burners are at either end, one set in a large stone fireplace. Alternatively, there is an extremely old fashioned dining room on the right-hand side of the pub or you can choose from outdoor tables both to the front and rear.
The solitary cask ale was Gower Rumour, which was ok but lacked in condition. Rebel IPA from Tiny Rebel was a keg option. I quite liked the atmosphere in here but the beer quality let the side down a little.
